Staff news
Mars-Jones welcome new staff and continue to work towards a multi-skilled workforce:
- Daniel Mars-Jones has been taken on as Warehouse Assistant to assist Melfyn, our Warehouse Manager.
- Daniel has recently successfully completed the FLT Training Course and is now qualified to drive a Fork Lift Truck.
- A number of Temporary Staff have now been offered Permanent Contracts.
- Some of our existing staff have now been trained to a high standard in wiring and assembly of ‘electric suzies’
Customers news
We are pleased to announce new contracts with a number of customers:
- A short term contract was delivered for The Allen Group on time, to specification, and contract fulfilled.
- Chemipool are a new customer: an Internet-based company that we will be providing a pick & pack service to, for their customers' online purchases of swimming pool chemicals, accessories & above ground swimming pools.
- A Bun in the oven are another new customer: A Hong Kong based retailer launching its product range in the UK in the spring – we will be providing specialist packing and picking service for them.
We are also pleased to announce major new work with existing customers:
- Mita have launched new Aemsa products and are marketing them in the UK. This means a major expansion on our business at Mars-Jones, providing Mita with storage, pick & pack facilities as well as direct deliveries using our transport fleet.
Website news
Our customers at Mars-Jones can now manage their stocks online, which has proved to be very popular. They can also send their product orders directly to us through the website.
