On the 22nd of April, our driver John Worthington will be running the London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation.
With over 40,000 people taking part in the 26.2 mile run, the London Marathon remains to be the world’s largest annual fundraising event, having raised over £770 million pounds for charity.
Since joining Mars-Jones Ltd in 2011, John has grown to be a valued part of our team over his six years of service.
John has been applying to run for the London marathon for the past five years, and has now been given his opportunity.
He will be running for the British Heart Foundation, a charity close to his heart as he has lost members of his family to heart disease.
The British Heart Foundation is the nation’s largest heart charity and funder of cardiovascular research.
Whilst the BHF are making significant inroads to tackle this illness, cardiovascular disease today still is a daily fight for 7 million people in the UK.
Donations made will ensure that the foundation will be one step closer to their vision of winning the fight against cardiovascular disease.
We are very proud to be supporting John in is efforts for British Heart Foundation, and am sure many of us can applaud his efforts for this cause. Please show your support for John by donating on his Just Giving page here.
